38 Special Omaha July 4 Show Tonight!

Omahans began arriving at Memorial Park at 5 a.m. to stake prime spots for tonight's always popular free concert and fireworks show sponsored by Bank of the West.

The day already was off to a sultry start, with morning temperatures in the low 80s. At 6 p.m., when the concert begins, temperatures should be in the low 90s.

The concert will feature three bands, Take Me to Vegas, Cheap Trick and 38 Special.

Fireworks follow at 10 p.m.
